“How did Danny propose? I later found out he had taken my description of what would be my perfect day and planned the whole thing out. Our day started with him bringing over a coffee, bagel and cream cheese from my favorite bagel shop. We hung out for a little while and then he said he had to go run a couple errands (my perfect day included some alone time and he had like 5 errands to run for the rest of the day’s plans). When he came back an hour or so later we drove out to one of my favorite brunch places. Then we went to a park and went for a walk on some trails by a river. At the end of the walk he took me to a place by the river and proposed there!
…After he proposed we went to visit my parents and sister so we could tell them in person. There were some other special things in the afternoon, including Christmas lights, flowers, and pie, and the day ended with a surprise birthday party with my closest friends! They got to surprise me with the party (my birthday isn’t until April 21), and then we got to surprise them with the news of our engagement. We had my favorite food for dinner (macaroni and cheese), had a game night with our friends and the night ended with chocolate fondue.
It was an awesome day.”
