Meghan writes:
“My sister texted me that she wanted to take pictures for my mom of the 3 of us to hang on her wall as a belated birthday gift on Belle Isle in Detroit since its one of my favorite spots. We set a date to do it a few weeks away.
…We went through the motions in the first couple locations. Eventually, we ended up at a secluded point with a lighthouse right along the river. Adam and I had come out there several months before and it was gorgeous.
We were about to leave when my sister suggested that Adam and I take a picture together. I obliged- and as we stood there, Adam started talking (it was all such a blur I really have no clue what he even said), but the next thing I knew he was down on one knee pulling out a ring box.
Of course, I said yes!”
Adam and Meghan’s joy radiates out from them and sets the world aglow. This brightness of spirit strengthens when they are together, hand in hand- and it was my delight to capturing it on their wedding day. <3

The girls began to gather and get ready in the bottom floor of the Grand Ledge Opera House….
Meanwhile, the boys began the day in the top level of the Opera House….
Adam waited anxiously to see Meghan.. they wanted to spend as much of the day together as possible!
I’d say they were both pretty pleased to see each other. 😉
With plenty of time before the ceremony was to begin, we wandered the grounds of Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge (Ledges Park). Absolutely GORGEOUS in the fall!
The bridal party caught up with us for portraits!
Soon, it was time for the big moment!! Friends and family gathered for the outdoor ceremony at the Grand Ledge Opera House…
Inside, the rooms were decorated with the lovely vintage and yellow theme!
Meanwhile, the photobooth was going crazy! (Meghan and Adam made this amazing custom photobooth backdrop themselves- it was perfect!!)
Adam and Meghan, it was so wonderful being your wedding photographer! May your lifetimes be blessed with love!
