“We had plans to go see a musical, but timing was going to be tight because I had to work late. He offered to cook dinner at my place while I got ready so that we could eat before the show. He called me in for dinner, and when I turned the corner he was down on 1 knee with the ring. He had candles and flowers on the table, but the smell of the homemade chicken parmesan cinched the deal!”

The gorgeous fall decor awaited as the bride and her girls got ready for the big day..
Lara and Phil paid homage to the amazingness that is Star Wars in many touches throughout the day. Can you believe these AMAZING homemade shoes!?
Phil, too, had some classy Star Wars touches: Leia and Han cufflinks and Star Wars socks (you’ll also spot his x-wing tie in later images)!
I spotted a few tears in the crowd- but none as meaningful as the ones on Phil’s cheek. <3
These two crack me up!! XD
Back at the reception, a Star Wars themed card box, table numbers, and seating cards waited alongside a gorgeous keepsake wall-art piece to commemorate the day.
It wa so great to see one of my 2015 couples, Lauren and Devon, again! In August of last year, I had photographed their Kellogg Center wedding, and helped them welcome their little one with some lifestyle (in-home) newborn images this fall! Little Owen looked quite dapper in his little tie at his very first wedding!
As the dance floor carried on, the photobooth was in full swing as well! Here’s some of my favorites:
I brought something a little special to add to my “typical” ring shot…
Congratulations again, Phil and Laura!!
Very nice, Ilove it!
