The Graduate Hotel at MSU campus in East Lansing is my new favorite venue.
Whooooo. That felt bold to type. But it’s true.
First off, the room decor was next-level maximalist – think textures and colors that were just plain swoon-worthy. And don’t get me started on the staff – seriously, the friendliest and most on-the-ball crew ever. Communication was spot-on, making everything run like a well-oiled machine.
Now, let’s talk rooftop vibes! The Graduate Hotel boasts a killer rooftop bar, giving us the perfect spot for those nighttime shots against the twinkling East Lansing skyline. Plus, the large staircase and artsy framed wall inside were total game-changers for photo ops. Wooden framed arches? Check. Convenient layout that still felt spacious? Double-check. Oh, and (obviously, being a hotel) an on-site hotel room for getting ready or guest stayover? Nailed it.
Of course, the Graduate can’t steal ALL the glory. 😉 Emily and Yash’s ceremony went down at the MSU Alumni Chapel, surrounded by gorgeous stained glass that added that extra touch of magic. The venues were just a skip away from the Lewis Landscape Arboretum – my go-to portrait spot for winter MSU weddings! Walking paths, brickwork, and evergreen trees galore – pretty at any time of the year.
These venues are not just places; they’re the backdrop to your love story, and that makes them magic. I’m so excited to call Mid-Michigan- the place where these jewels shine- my home. GO GREEN!
