As a full time wedding photographer, it’s a wonderful change of pace to work as a second shooter (second photographer) here and there throughout the year. I get to see how my fellow Michigan wedding photographers run a wedding day, I get to slow down and notice the “little things” that the primary photographer doesn’t get to catch, and, while the primary photographer is busy shooting very important main events (such as the family formals), I get to spend time shooting things I rarely can as a primary photographer, such as the reception decor!
For this Rochester, Michigan wedding, I was invited by the primary photographer, Jason Loudermilk of Loudermilk Photography, to be the second photographer. Jason is a treat to work with: like me, he keeps a cheerful attitude rolling all day long!

The clouds threatened rain, but that wan’t going to put a damper on this perfect day!
After meeting up with Jason and the girls (I couldn’t help but sneak a few shots of the gorgeous bling!), I headed over to where the guys were getting ready.
The reception ballroom was looking gorgeous!
While the dancefloor was humming, the rain was pouring outside! It was the perfect time to head outside for nighttime portraits- you know that I adore rainy photographs!!
