“I had been working at the newspaper in Fargo, N.D. for a year (after graduating college) when Ryan was hired there in August of 2010. I worked in news as a government/politics reporter and Ryan worked in sports as the hockey reporter.
Our desks were separated only by a wall with a doorway, so we passed each other’s desks all of the time. Within the first couple of months of Ryan working there, we would talk with each other a lot – our stories, the latest news, etc. – and we would sit next to each other during group lunches.
After he’d been in Fargo for three months, Ryan asked me out (through a direct message over Twitter, haha). Our first date was in late October 2010. We saw “Paranormal Activity 2” and then went to dinner. We had such a good time, talking and hanging out that we opted to go back to my place to see the first “Paranormal Activity” since neither of us had seen it.
Both of us went into that night just looking for a fun time with a nice person. Neither of us expected we’d quickly become each other’s best friend, fall in love and spend the rest of our lives together – but it’s sort of perfect that it turned out that way.
No pressure, no expectations; love just happened.”
Being a perfect couple doesn’t mean being perfect. It means being what the other needs. It means filling in each other’s imperfections and facing the imperfect world together- hand in hand. <3

The sun was beaming down on a gorgeous array of flowers at the Hawk Hollow Chapel….
The girls chatted happily and helped Kristen get ready for the ceremony…
…and when she was head to toe a bride, the tears started flowing!! <3
Ryan and Kristen’s parents and Kristen’s brother were welcomed in for a glimpse..
Finally, it was time! Ryan waited anxiously…
And with a quick final glance at mom and dad…
…he looked up to see his love walk in!
